All trace of this has gone. Also, going back to your original advice regarding the setting on the Compatibility tab for the 64 bit drivers, unless I set the option from the drop down box as run in Windows 7 I get the error messages I originally reported. Trouble getting win 7 64 bit Sp1 to recognise Midisport 4x4 Edit Subject. Without the driver windows puts in under 'other devices' and puts an error icon next to it. Set it to 'Never notify'. The other 2 ports are currently unused. If this doesn't help try to disable UAC:

M-audio, according to their website, are still working on a full release driver for 7 x64 but having issues with the Beta driver and Pro tools. George Crooner March 26, Reinstalled Midisport drivers nothing.

So for anybody searching threads for info on the MIDIsport 4x4 and wndows issues. The other 2 ports are currently unused. My Midisport 4x4 plays dead. Hi Nikola, this sounds like a computer resource issue.

One day though it did turn on and showed other midi traffic from my synths but now it is dead when I need it. On 32bit Vista Ultimate, my Millenium Midisport 4x4 is detected by Midi-OX, and the receive light flashes in accordance with the keys being depressed.
